Here are some useful resources for Lent and Easter.
We’ve included ideas for worship or other intergenerational programs as well as ideas for households to use at home.
Some of the links are still for 2021 or older resources. We’ll update for 2022 as new resources are released. We’ve tried to note which resources are updated or new to this page for 2022.
You might like to make up a pack of resources for households. Just choose a few, print them off and add the necessary materials. You can even collate a few resources that households can select from and let households choose what they would like to use.
Faithful Families For Lent, Easter, Resurrection: Simple Ways to Create Meaning for the Season by Traci Smith
This new book has dozens of ideas for parent, guardians, teachers, and ministers to help share the deep mysteries of Lent, Easter, and Resurrection with children. The book also has theological notes on addressing the violence of the crucifixion and the meaning of Jesus’ death.
You could gift this book to families along with some of the materials for a few of the practices that are in the book.
